Slogan CALL NOW OPEN! APPLY BEFORE OCTOBER 2nd!

About callJOINT OITBS OPEN CALL TO FIGHT COVID 19

SAFE-N-MEDTECH OITB project gathers expertise from 28 partners around the World focused in enabling the safe translation of nano-enabled medical technologies from Proof of Concept to markets and clinical practice. The sudden COVID-19 outbreak has meant an unforeseen challenge that requires rapid answers from the Science, Technology and Innovation Community. These is a framework where SafeNMT could deploy all its potential: first, because nanotechnology is a Key Enabling Technology that can contribute to innovative approaches to fight COVID 19 and/or other viral pandemics. Second, because the integration of capabilities in SafeNMT should be a key driver to integrate, accelerate and translate nanotechnology innovations from TRLs 4-5 to TRLs 6-7.

In this context, and in the frame of the Joint OITBs Open Call to fight COVID 19, we aim in opening our services, at no cost, for selected proposals which accomplish the following conditions:
Innovations for prevention, diagnostic and/or therapy for COVID 19 based on the use of nanotechnology applied to Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostic
The expressions of interest should present a solid S&T background and a sufficient technological maturity (starting TRLs 4-5)
A clear development pathway, with an initial identification of product needs is encouraged

EPPN workshop: Pilot production lines for the health, transport, and industry
San Sebastian, SPAIN-November 5th, 2019

Achieving successful pilot production, from a laboratory scale to small pilot scales of production, is a major success factor in the innovation and management potential of productive companies.
EPPN (European Network for Pilot Production Facilities and Innovation Hubs) is the European Network of Production Pilot Plants and Innovation Hubs. Pilot plants and open innovation test beds are infrastructures that respond quickly to scaling needs, essential for SMEs and start-ups. They are useful tools that help improve European industry in its competitiveness, generate business and potentially create new businesses, jobs and growth across Europe by offering specific infrastructures and a service ecosystem.
This EPPN Workshop, in collaboration with SPRI, The Basque Government's Business Development Agency, under the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructure, and the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network, addresses and offers the opportunity to exchange experiences between pilot plants and establish future relationships with the industry.
Attendees will be able to learn about the opportunities that these open access pilot plants offer to European industry, as well as visit some of them on-site and get to know first-hand their characteristics....
